Based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, Dare to Lead™ is an empirically based courage building program.

The most significant finding from Brené’s latest research is that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable. The Dare to Lead™ program focuses on developing these courage building skills to help individuals, teams, and organisations move from armored leadership to daring leadership.

Individuals who successfully complete the full 24-hour Dare to Lead™ program will receive a certificate of completion and are allowed to put the Dare to Lead Trained badge on their LinkedIn account.

I deliver Dare to Lead™ through three (3) modalities – virtual, in person and immersive.

No matter what format the training you choose to do, rest assured that you’ll complete the 24 contact hours of required learning you need to be eligible to receive the Dare to Lead™ Certificate and LinkedIn badge.

I’ve trialled a bunch of different delivery compositions and have landed on a sweet spot that keeps the experience palatable, meaningful, and engaging. From woe to go, you’re probably looking at a two-month program, with 24 contact hours in there and 2 – 4 hours of additional pre-work and homework (encouraged, not essential). My goal is that you feel that the training is comprehensive and free flowing, but not at the expense of your calendar and energy.

My Training is broken into 4 components:

PRE-WORK (APPROX. 2 HOURS)

A few weeks before we start your Dare to Lead™ adventure, you’ll be sent a welcome email with all the info you need to know about the training, including Pre-Work. The Pre-Work is designed to ensure everyone is on a level playing field leading into the actual Dare to Lead™ Training, and to ensure we get the most value out of our time together. The Pre-Work is not onerous, and includes reading, watching & listening to Brené Brown content as well as some personal reflection.

WELCOME & INDUCTION (4 HOURS)

We’ll first come together virtually for the Welcome & Induction Webinar where we’ll move through the following:

  • Container Building
  • BBEARG Belonging Statement
  • Set the scene for learning
  • Background to the research
  • Get to know your Breakout Group
  • Introduction to the Heart of Daring Leadership

 

DARE TO LEAD™ TRAINING (16 HOURS)

Another 2-3 weeks on, we’ll come together either virtually or in person for the heavy lifting of the actual Dare to Lead™ Training. Over the 2 days (or 3 if you’re doing the Immersive experience) we’ll explore:

  • Answering your Call to Courage
  • Arenas
  • Grounded Confidence & Rumbling Skills
  • Emotional Literacy
  • Four (4) Courage Skill sets
    • Skill set #1: Rumbling with Vulnerability
      • Shame – Defining & Understanding Shame; Shame Shields; How Shame Shows up in Organisations

INTEGRATION & WRAP UP (4 HOURS)

2-3 weeks after the 2 days of Dare to Lead™, we’ll come together virtually, for the final time for the Integration & Wrap Up Webinar where we will explore:

  • Skill set #4: Learning to Rise
    • Rising Strong Process
    • Rumbling with Anxiety, Grief & Forgiveness
  • Your Dare to Lead™ Integration Plan
  • Personal Reflection & Celebration
